The wednesday and sunday night music sessions at Cookes are undoubtedly one of the best in Galway City. Although not in the tourist centre of Galway, Cookes is still only a 5-10 mins walk in the old West district. One of only two remaining thatch pubs in Galway City, Cookes is not to be missed.
