Constable's Gallery Te Puke Reviews
Historic Police cells now for artists Jan 24, 2009
The Constable's Gallery is so named because sitting beside the main building which houses the Art and Craft Gallery and Workshop are two cells of the old Te Puke Police Station.
One of the cells is used by the artists but the other is still empty and a small "peep window" allows a view of the cramped cell in it's original condition.
After you've spent a couple of minutes taking in this historic accommodation pop next door and explore the range of artworks on display. You may find a little original piece to take back home to friends and family.
