I have been staying in Serena Lodges, which are considered one of the best hotels in Tanzania and the Internet connection you can get is very basic. In Serena Manyara I got connected to the Internet and cost me 5 US$ for 15 minutes and it was really slow. From your room there is no connection, you have to go to the common areas and there is just one computer in the lodge. At the Nairobi Airport I found some kind of Internet Café, where you could get connected, but did not ask about rates.
