New Orleans Bike Tour Nov 06, 2008
We hadn't been on a fat tired sit up high on the bike easy ridong cruiser since we were kids, but that;s how they ride in the flattest city I've ever seen, so that's how the tour went.

Really great guide, the tours are small (Ours was just us, he says he doesn't like to groups bigger than 6 because the tours go through neighborhoods, not the usual tourist spots) and really let us know the story of New Orleans. It was 3 hours, about 8 miles of really easy biking, with about 8 stops where he told us the stories that really made New Orleans come to life. Local music and parades, a stop at an old and empty neighborhood cemetary with the above ground crypts, Creole culture, and food...all with funny and interesting stories. Basically the guide loved to tell us why New Orleans was different than Spokane (and everywhere else) and sold us on the quirks of New Orleans culture.

The bikes were just a bonus, so we could see the beautiful neighborhoods and enjoy New Orleans weather, but we would have had fun justhearing the stories.
