Perfect soundstage for both classical and contemporary music Jul 18, 2008

Since I live in Amsterdam myself I find myself going to the Concertgebouw a couple of times a year for a wide range of musical events. Every time I go there I will also see tourists who absolutely want to watch/hear a concert here since the accoustic in this building a worldwide known. I am proud of my town having such a famous musichall.

I took a look (and some pics of course) at Concertgebouw and Stedeijik Museum (currently under reconstruction). I had no more plans to visit some concrete places so I decided just to walk making my way back to hotel. I got to De Pijp neighborhood with Sarphatipark and Heineken Experience Museum. It's a famous and infamous city at the same time, from the Red Light District to the Concertgebouw Theater... Just outside from this great metropolis, there's a beautiful countryside filled with picturesque windmills and fairy-like houses. Holland is an amazing country!
