Really comfy hotel just on the outskirts of downtown Dallas Jun 21, 2011
We pulled into the Comfort Inn late at night and eventhough it was about 10pm, in June, it was almost 90 degrees and the air was heavy with humidity, but when the wind blew, it was refreshing. The evening desk staff was pleasant and there were Otis Spunkmeyer cookies available.
The hotel was nice and clean and our room was super comfy. The bathroom was larger than most and there was a teeny tiny kitchen area with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, sink and counter top. I love Comfort Inn hotels and this place was great. Breakfast was good. They had two waffle options (plain and blueberry) and were accompanied by a variety of other breakfast items-scrambled eggs with ham cubes, has browns (like the ones I used to eat in high school), tortilla shells with salsa and cheese, juice, tea, and a few other yummies. The morning staff was just as sweet and gave us directions to Dealey Plaza so we could wander downtown Dallas. We didn't get a chance to use the indoor pool, but it looked OK. The only complaint was that the computer wasn't working and for a road trip across the country; we couldn't keep our blog up to date-blah. This Comfort Inn is right off of a major highway and you can access downtown Dallas in about 10 minutes. The room is updated and comfortable and this place is recommended for a night's stay or longer (as some value hotels are gross and are only good for one night's stay).
