Comfort Inn Hamilton Reviews
Not up to Comfort Inn standards Jun 09, 2010
Location: Along Centennial Parkway in the Stoney Creek section of Hamilton this 2 story facility has 60 guest rooms. I do not know whether they had elevators or not as our room was on the ground level and I never saw stairs or elevators.
Amenities: They offer only free local calls, weekday newspaper, free coffee and tea, and wireless high speed internet access. Nothing else. No exercise room, no pool, inside or out. 75% of the rooms there were smoking rooms as it turns out.
Value: This was in the high range for our trip $90 - $100
Staff: The young man who was on duty gave us a smoking room after we asked for non-smoking.
Cleanliness: Although we had asked for a non-smoking room, we were given a room that definitely was not. We called to change rooms but were told there were none. The young man on duty brought a can of spray air freshener and just about used the entire can in the room.
Our room: There was a locking entry slider to outdoors where we parked our car so we could move our luggage very easily in and out. There were two queen beds, a table and two chairs, a microwave and refrigerator, and coffee maker, Iron and ironing board.
Bed: The beds were quite soft and not very comfortable.
Bath: The bathroom was fairly small but had a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were enough towels.
Breakfast: The best was to describe the continental breakfast here is to say they had nothing! The very few items left out looked like they had been touched, dropped or discarded by others. They didn’t even have a room or tables where you could eat. If you found something, you had to take it back to your room to eat. By far the worst hotel breakfast of our entire trip.
Added note: This was the absolute worst hotel experience of our road trip. We would not recommend this hotel.

Gives Comfort Inn a bad name! Jun 09, 2010
This hotel is located right on Centennial Parkway in the middle of town. The amenities listing is nearly non-existent, offering only free local calls, weekday newspapers in the lobby, free coffee and tea in the lobby, and high speed internet. That is all that is offered. And for that we paid $90 to $100, which was in the high range for our road trip. This is a two story hotel with interior corridors but I never did see an elevator. Although on the busy main street of the area we did not see any close restaurants within walking distance. Our room was on the main floor near the back. After asking for a non-smoking room the young man on duty gave us a smoking room which really smelled horrible. He brought a can of spray air freshener and used about the entire can trying to rid the room of odor. The room we had been given he said was the last he had, and fortunately had a lockable sliding glass door to the parking lot where our car was parked just outside so we could move our luggage easily in and out. Also, Roger only had to come about ten feet into the room. It had two queen sized beds, a table and two chairs, a microwave and small refrigerator, a coffee and tea maker, iron and ironing board. The beds felt old and soft and were not very comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side but included a hair dryer, soaps, conditioner, shampoo, and enough clean towels. It was not handicapped equipped, no handrails, hand held shower nozzle, or higher toilet. Breakfast in the morning was described a continental but they really had nothing to eat, so we settled for a cup of coffee. This hotel gives Comfort Inn a bad name and I would not recommend staying here.
