Comfort Hotel Center – Strasbourg France Nov 13, 2009
The Comfort Hotel Center (part of the Comfort Inn Hotel chain) is right next to the Ill River/canal, ideally located within walking distance of the Strasbourg Cathedral, sometimes called Our Lady's Cathedral, a sandstone Gothic cathedral. This Strasbourg hotel is minutes from museums like the Musee de l'Oeuvre Notre-Dame, the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain modern art museum and the Musée des Beaux-Arts art museum. Guests of this Strasbourg hotel will start the day off right with a buffet breakfast in the air conditioned breakfast room. Viennoiseries (sweet French pastries) and other local specialties are featured in the buffet. Some of the other amenities and features include free daily paper and a gift shop. The Comfort Hotel Center offers 48 air-conditioned guestrooms located on five floors, all of which have traditional decor in warm shades of orange and brown with parquet flooring and dark-wood furnishings and include cable television, minibars and safes.
We arrived well after dark and rented two rooms for five of us. Rates were somewhere around 60-70USD per room per night. The rooms were small, and apparently the walls are not too soundproof as the front desk called us about someone complaining we were noisy (I don’t recall us making that much noise). |

We were in Strasbourg for 2 weeks. Quaint little city. We had clas every day so I didn't get to do as much site seeing as I wanted. I took one weekend we had free to go back to Florence. The Petite France Area was very cute !… Strasbourg, France |

It was a pity that the water in the river was too high, that is why is was not possible to take the boat. I’m an experienced Christmas shopper, but I never have seen so many people at a Weihnachtsmarkt (= market where they sell Christmas stuff).
