Fire Season

For the most part, Montana has a very dry climate. During the summer months, the threat of wildfires is dangerously high. Controlled burnings, and campfires are extremely limited, if not banned completely. Just parking a car in a field with semi-tall grass can be dangerous if the hot engine meets a blade of grass. You pretty much can't drive anywhere without seeing the effects of wildfires. I'm not even sure how this fire started, someone probably threw a cigarette out the window or some...

Took a quick road trip out to the Pacific Northwest states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Stopped at a few parks including Crater Lake, Mount St Helens, and Mount Rainier with lots of geology stops.
