Colonia Carlos Pellegrini Vacation Guide

Pellegrini is a small village of about 600 habitants, there are no paved roads but lots of horses and gauchos. With own electricity supplies and a few little kiosks. There is one public bus going there a day (from Mercedes). Its an eco village in the middle of the Ibera wetlands and for this the perfect place to explore this nature reserve. There is several lodges and hostels for any kind of budget. The beste few lodges are located at the lakeside. In the Ibera you can observe wildlife doing safaris or simply walking around the surroundings of the village. There is heaps of black caimans, capybaras, swamp dear, otters, anacondas, monkeys and also a huge amount of species of birds. It's a paradise for nature and wildlife lovers and especially for birders.
