Today we woke up
early, had some good arepa de huevo and headed to the Tayrona National Park.
This is a must for Colombians, but I was shocked to see that most people we ran
into were European. Actually, I wasn’t that shocked. Europeans are cool. We
took sort of an hour hike through the jungle to get to the beach we wanted to
get to. I absolutely loved the hike through rocks and trees and monkeys and
birds. I felt so… American to be so awed at all of these tropical wonders...

The first country I visited outside the United States was Colombia. I absolutely loved it there and would not mind living there for the rest of my life. The people were friendly and I even met one American couple that was on their honeymoon! I need to travel back to see the dance clubs, learn more of the culture and take more pictures!

Aside from Art Basel, this is probably the most exciting event to take place in Miami. On Saturday, November 3rd, 2007, Sleepless Night drew thousands of people from 6PM to 6AM for 13 hours of culture all over the City of Miami Beach. For more info on this event, visit www.sleeplessnight.org. It's sure to happen again after all the attention it got this year.

The flight to Bogota eventually happened and thinking that I was a seasoned traveller I shunned the overpriced cabs at the airport and jumped on a bus. An hour later, still on the bus, I started wondering when I should get off. I seemed to be travelling deeper into favella terriotory and made a snap decision that it was then or never. Off I jumped into the middle of Bogotas version of Soweto. The cabs didnt look too pricey from here and I managed to flag one down and he took me to where i sho...

Well I have so much to share, but i will share little by little all the adventures, experiences, good, bad, etc. of my Vacation.
First, never fly with your pet if they have to go in Cargo area. I had to take my dog Zorro to Colombia since I didn't have anyone to watch him and you can't trust those pet caring camps. My poor Zorro had to fly from MIAMI to BOGOTA and BOGOTA to CALI. Thanks to the Airline. Even though I had made my reservations months and I mean months...
