Collioure is a beautiful French town that straddles that border between France and Spain. Thus, it is greatly influenced by the Catalan culture. With beautiful (but somewhat rocky) beaches, a gorgeous lighthouse, interesting history, lovely hiking areas, and wine tasting Collioure is a perfect get away from the city. 4 or 5 days was enough for us to do touristy things, such as visiting the castle, or lighthouse turned church, and then afternoon at the beach. We went scuba diving, it was fun, but the wish were not very impressive. It was still a beautiful, relaxing experience. Somewhat touristy, 90 minutes by train (maybe less) to Barcelona. Good food and slow pace of life!
