Collioure is the pearl of the Côte Vermeille. It is a charming little port 35 km south of Perpignan and a magnet for tourists. Narrow cobbled streets with galleries and souvenir shops lead to the harbour/beach clenched between the château-royal and the church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges with a distinctive round bell tower (once lighthouse).

Collioure is the gem of the Roussillon coast (Côte Vermeille). A charming little port, it has been a magnet for artists since Matisse settled there in 1905. As I am an artist - alas non performing - I wanted to visit this pretty village myself.
