Coldstream Scotland Nov 09, 2017
Coldstream in Scotland is on the border with England. I took the bus from Berwick a distance of 14 miles inland. Coldstream a small town is over the bridge over the Tweed on the north bank in Scotland.-- Coldstream gave its name to the Regiment the Coldstream Guards. A museum is on the site of the original headquaters.--- In the 18th and 19th centuries Coldstream was a popular centre for runaway marriages, rivaling Greta Green. There is a lovely little park in town centre called Henderson was donated by a Dr. Henderson and opened by HM the Queen. The park has views of the River Tweed and the Cheviot hills.-- Coldstream is not a pictureque town but im glad i visited.---The bus 67 from Berwick leaves the front of Berwick Rail station and from Golden Square in town centre, roughly every 2 hours in the direction of Kelso and Galashiels. Return from Coldstream outside the Besom pub.---Tip for English seniors is,your English bus pass is valid from Berwick to Coldstream.
