Devils Tower, Bighorn Stew, and 11 over the speed limit...

Same results?  Definitely.  After the two man made monuments, we traveled across the state line into Wyoming.  Another state, check it!  I had heard from numerous people how amazing Devil's Tower was...so we ventured off the beaten highway and headed into the northeast corner of Wyoming.  Same results as before.  Except this time, the view wasn't quite as amazing.  I think the admission was something around $12, which would've been $3 a person.  Not exp...

After the tunnel we agree its way past time for us to get a hotel room.  We get one and just grab the battery charge a clean set of closthes and our wash kit and head to our room for the best feeling 8 hours of sleep.

Devil’s Tower and Cody

Got up at 7.15 and had a shower that for the first time this holiday, I didn’t have to bend down in to use!! Wyoming is officially my favourite state so far! Art made American pancakes, mmmm! We packed up and drove to the base of “Bear’s Lodge” which apparently looked boring on the map/was mistranslated as Devil’s Tower. Walked around the base of it, I went off ahead of everyone else and had some ‘me’ time to think and it was lovely and quite. Saw some rock climbers specs ...

Disappointment has no place on this trip.  Although we woke up to cold temperatures and steady rainfall, we had no choice.  We were riding over the mountain to Cody and we were going to do it with a smile on our face.  Of course, we could have just sat around the hotel all day, eating and shopping, but that's not the way we travel.  How will we ever get anywhere if we let a little cold rain stop us from riding?  There are no pictures today.  We were too busy tryi...

We started in Ohio and went to the Northwestern states. We camped most of the way in National Parks. Drove down the Pacific coast and headed inland around L.A. California. Then we zig-zagged through AZ and up to CO. From there we headed Northeast toward home. We were on the road for about 3.5 weeks. It was a great trip!

Yellowstone National Park
posted by:

We stayed the night at the Yellowstone Valley Inn outside the east entrance to Yellowstone Park.  The view from the hotel was breathtaking to see first thing in the morning since we drove to the hotel late at night.  After breakfast, we drove back into Yellowstone Park where we set up camp at the Bridge Bay Campground with a beautiful view of Yellowstone Lake.  Throughout the day we saw buffalo, elk, deer, bald eagle (spotted by John throught a forest, amazing) and coyote. ...
