Cocobay Resort Valley Church Bolands Reviews
A Carribean paradise May 17, 2010
We had a wonderful week in this all-inclusive Antigua resort featuring 49 pastel cottages and 4 plantation houses for family or 2 couples.
The resort overlooks two white-sand beaches and offers panoramic stunning views of the turquoise Carribean sea.
We stayed in the Oleander cottage,a seafront cottage with its tiny plungepool that we enjoyed everyday even at night!
The room though a lil basic was quite large and clean with a comfy bed and a useful mosquito net,a minibar(attractive but expensive supermarket in the close Jolly Harbour!),a safe(don't lose or broke the key otherwise you will be charge 100 Usd for a basic small one!)
The bathroom is rustic and very SLIPPERY but with great views.
About the quite good food,
-classic English breakfast(buffet style) but we enjoyed the continental one
-lunch buffet:decent choice of salads, meat and fish...
-afternoon tea:not our cup of tea:)
-dinner:choice of starters and maincourses quicly and professionally served or with a supplement: dinner in the fine Sheer restaurant
We only saw the infinity pool enjoying the 2 beaches with plenty of space.Poor snorkeling
in Antigua:I only have seen 3 lobsters under the resort..and broke my underwater camera:)
Friendly and professional QUICK service!
CONS:mozzies in particular in the lobby(free Wi Fi) and the price of Internet(O,50 USD/mn)but I had my own laptop:)
We rent at the hotel without trouble for 6 days a handy Toyota Rav 4 (45 USD/DAY) from BENJIE RENT-A-CAR cell(268) 784-3052/774-7010 firstname.lastname@example.org
As we had booked for a period of 7 nights,we became Extra Special Guests! and got a complementary taxi from airport to the hotel.
