Overpriced eats Apr 12, 2011
Way overpriced (about $6 for the smallest cup) and wasn't too pleased with the "gelato". To be honest, not that it was terrible, but it was definitely more like sorbet than gelato.

Miami is filled with gelato places and I can totally understand why. Besides the large Latin population who is VERY well-acquainted with the Italian's frozen delights, the weather here is perfect for enjoying gelato, whether it be day or night.

I was hoping to try Gelateria Parmalat on Lincoln Road because they were voted the world's best gelateria by the Travel Channel, but I never got the chance to check it out. However, I have no regrets about trying gelato from Coco Gelato, which turned out to be incredibly fresh and refreshing. Ever since then I crave good gelato on a regular basis. They had a vast array of different flavors, everything from classics such as chocolate to tropical fruits such as guava, passion fruit, mamey (whatever that is) and maracuya... just the thought of it makes my mouth water...
