No visit to the english riviera without a visit to Cockington Village.Cockington is in a way hidden from the rest of torquay in a valley secluding itself from everywhere else.
Going to Cockington is like going back in time, there are loads of little thatched cottages, and teahouses and a brilliant pub called the Drum Inn.
I think there are something like 450 acres of grounds to cockington village which include parkland, woodland and lakes.I think i read somewhere that the lakes where built my monks from the nearby torre abbey to provide them with fish.
There is a big cricket pitch in the grounds where you can catch a game on weekends and that is situated in front of Cockington court, which is a huge manor house type building, with many craft studios inside. Also next to Cockington Court is an old church which is very nice building!
