It's not a large but cute ancient village where you can spend a couple of fun hours. You can see there true craftsmen (glassblowers, blcksmithes, soap boilers, ect) and thear work. There are ponies for kids, shops for ladies and pubs for men)))

No visit to the english riviera without a visit to Cockington Village.Cockington is in a way hidden from the rest of torquay in a valley secluding itself from everywhere else.

Going to Cockington is like going back in time, there are loads of little thatched cottages, and teahouses and a brilliant pub called the Drum Inn.

I think there are something like 450 acres of grounds to cockington village which include parkland, woodland and lakes.I think i read somewhere that the lakes where built my monks from the nearby torre abbey to provide them with fish.

There is a big cricket pitch in the grounds where you can catch a game on weekends and that is situated in front of Cockington court, which is a huge manor house type building, with many craft studios inside. Also next to Cockington Court is an old church which is very nice building!
