 Weekend deal in financial district - great alternative Jun 28, 2008
If you don't mind having to use the tube to get to things you want to do, this could be a great way to have 4* accomodations at 2 1/2* - 3* prices (weekend only).
The hotel is interesting in that you are able to check in and out at a kiosk, a first for me. The staff was quite friendly and helpful when called upon. The room was simple but complete. It was comfortable and large enough but, not large. The bath was clean and nicer than expected. The bed was very comforatable as were the pillow. We were on the front of the building and had a nice view. It's in a nice walking area but, do know that on the weekends most everything is closed. You will have to travel for everything. I would consider staying here, again but, not by myself. I can get a much better rate with other options.  Part of the Canterbury Tales travel blog
