Clovis Vacation Guide

The city of Clovis was originally begun as a railroad stop around 1890, but because of economic problems throughout the nation the railroad didn’t create enough revenue to continue. But about 1895 a water flume was created 42 miles up in the heavily timbered Sierra Nevada mountains that floated the logs all the way down to the mill in Clovis. The town grew slowly, until late in the twentieth century when neighboring Fresno seemed to reach out closer and closer. Clovis has tried to remain a separate city and continues to keep its “olde towne” charms. Now a city of nearly 100,000 it has added homes, shopping centers, and schools to be a quality place to live in the San Joaquin valley.

A bunch of photos of the flowers that are currently blooming around my town. Also some bees and other insects. Spring is my favorite season. It's when all of God's creations seem to come out and say hello!
