Clink261 Hostel London Reviews
Excellent hostel that is excellently situated Jun 18, 2014
Clink261 is very conveniently situated very close to King's Cross-Saint Pancras railway station. The personnel is really friendly and helpful.
The rooms are not too big, but it is sufficient for a hostel. The beds are comfortable and the linen is clean. The only downside for me was that the pillow was very flat. It would have barely made a difference if I didn't have one. Therefore, if you don't like flat pillows, I would certainly suggest to either bring a small pillow yourself or maybe use, for example, a towel to put underneath the pillow to raise it up a bit.
What's also convenient is that each bed has its separate bed light, plus there is a USB port next to it, which you can use to charge your phone, for example. This is very convenient as you don't need a special plug to do so!
The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and there's separate bathrooms for boys and girls.
There's also a television room. As I was there during the World Cup football, the atmosphere there was really nice. There's also some pubs around for those who prefer to go to a pub. Closeby there is the other Clink-hostel, Clink78 and they have a bar in their cellar which is accessible for people staying in Clink261 as well. They organise a lot of activities in that bar, so there's always something to do.
There is free wifi in the communal sections, but not in the bedrooms. You can log into the wifi using your Facebook-account. However, if you do not have Facebook you can also ask the personnel to set up a temporary wifi-account for you.
Free breakfast is included in the price. There's different kinds of cereal, toast, jam... It's nothing special, but it is definitely more than sufficient for a hostel.
I had a really nice stay at Clink261. I've tried some different hostels in London and this one definitely is my favourite so far. Next time I go to London and stay in a hostel I will not hesitate to stay at Clink261 again!

Location is what this place is best at! May 15, 2011
Clink261 is literally right down the street from King's Cross/Saint Pancras International. It's got a lively feel to it, and is constantly busy. There's free breakfast of the toast-cereal-hot drinks variety, the kitchen is amazingly stocked and everyone who works there is super friendly.
The wifi and internet aren't free and are actually quite expensive, but there are plenty of cafes/internet cafes around if you're one of those that need to be constantly connected.
The rooms can be noisy, and if you're in one facing the street, I hope you brought earplugs! The mattresses are old but comfortable, the linens are clean, and the pillows soft.
There's some bars and clubs around the place, but the proximity to the Underground means you're never going to stay very long in your room anyway.
The bathrooms are being renovated, and the showers are hot, but it's pretty ugly. Remember to bring some plastic thongs/flip-flops.
You can buy a padlock for £2.50, and it's yours to keep, and if you need to plug in your ipod/iphone, you can in the lobby.
It's a good place if you're looking for something cheap, and the location is unparalleled!
