The Cliffs of Moher is a beautifull high coastline. You can stand on top of them, or you can watch them from below, by boat. The last thing I tried out. The sea was a bit rocky, so I did get wet and cold, but the cliffs, and the atlantic ocean I looked out on were absolutely beautifull. If you're lucky you might see some dolphins there to. The boat ticket, from Doolin was 10 euro's, that includes the boat trip, and the bus back. To see them from up it costs 8 euro's for a parking spot, another 5 if you want to visit the little tower on top of one.

Impressive but not that much Jun 04, 2009
Local fantástico mas as barreiras de proteção distanciam-nos demasiado do penhasco. É necessário aceder ao caminho proibido para se ter as melhores vistas.
Fantastic location but the protective barriers are very distant from the cliff. It is necessary to access the forbidden path south to have the best views. |

This was one of the best sites I have ever seen in the world. The fact that you are one gust of wind away from a 750 foot drop into the ocean is such a rush. The birds looking like ants and the sound of the water make the experience so much better. It is one place that I tell everyone now that they have to visit before they pass. Hope you like it as much as I did

The Cliffs of Moher is an exallent place to visit if you are ever in Irland. I was there in 2006 and loved it. I couldn't get to O'brien's tower, because it was being worked on. You can walk out so far on the cliffs before you come to a sign that tells you not to go any further. Since I'm not one for listening to signs, I went farther. It was a great hike. It was just a beaten path along the cliffs edge. At places only a foot form the edge. I recommend going on a calm day as the wind on the hike can be a little stong. About 2-21/2 hours later, I got to the end of the hike. There is what looks like a old watch tower that marks the end. The view was incredible!! If you're scared of heights, this might not be for you. But if that doesn't bother you, it's a must. The only cost is to park at the visitor center. But since I got back after it closed, I didn't have to pay to leave. I'll have pics on my profile soon. Again, if you can, this is a must see.
