Cliffs of Moher Mar 19, 2017
Cliffs of Moher is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Ireland and it is easy to understand why. It is a spectacular sight to see the high steep cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. At the highest point the cliffs are 214m.

I had hoped to go here independently and to hike along the coast for some hours, but unfortunately the bus connection between Galway and Cliffs of Moher was not god on a Monday in the end of February, so I ended up on an organized day tour instead. The promised 2h at the cliffs turned out to be 1h 15min, so not much time for hiking. When leaving the bus I went straight up to O Brian’s Tower, a round stone tower from the 19th century from where there are good views over the cliffs. There was an admission of 2 Euro to enter so I skipped it and walked back to follow the path above the cliffs to the south instead. In the beginning of the trail a new path has been constructed next to the old one, which is closer to the cliff edge, and between them there is a stonewall. A bit further away there is no stonewall and the path goes quite close to the edge. Unfortunately I had too little time to hike all the way to Hag’s Head.

The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre is situated next to the car park. It is mainly an underground building in the hillside and it blends in very well with the surroundings. In the visitor centre there is a gift shop, bathrooms and two cafés. There is also an exhibition, The Edge. The exhibition is about the cliffs and is shown with four thems; ocean, rock, animal and man. The Ledge is an audiovisual theatre.

I came to Cliffs of Moher on a daytour from Galway and in the price of the tour a ticket for the visitor centre was included (6 Euro in February 2013). As it was a sunny day, though cold, and as we didn’t have more than 1h and 15min at the cliffs I was not interested in spending time inside. Only on the way back to the bus did I go inside for two minutes to have a quick look. To visit the cliffs doesn’t cost anything.

Great photos! It's unfortunate that they didn't give you more time to explore the cliffs, but at least it was a sunny day. When we visited, the cliffs were totally socked in with fog and we couldn't see a thing!!

Cliffs of Moher Nov 20, 2014
During my trip to Ireland I was able to take many bus trips around the country to be able to see as many sights as possible. The Cliffs of Moher was my first stop. Unfortunately while at the Cliffs there was heavy rain and fog so the view was very limited. Even with this being the case what I did see was beautiful and well worth the money. To get to the top is a bit of a uphill hike and with bad weather may be a bit difficult but I would suggest making this a must see while in Ireland. There is also a very nice gift shop, resteraunt and interactive area to take up some spare time if the weather is bad.

Cruise to the Cliffs Sep 20, 2011
My mom is 100% Irish so I took her on a trip to Ireland a couple months ago! She loved it! We took an Aran Islands cruise following a Cliffs of Moher Cruise. This was only about $40 for both of us which was a pretty good deal. The cruise was the best way to see the Cliffs. It's incredible to see the Cliffs from below. The structure is amazing. On our cruise it was a little bumpy but very fun and the crowd was very international. The cruise served no snacks and no drinks so be sure to pack your own. Following the Cliffs, the cruise continued on the The Aran Islands!

The Most Beautiful Place I've Encountered May 14, 2011
The Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, IRL are truly a remarkable site and certainly worth seeing if you find yourself traveling in Ireland. It was 6 euro to enter the parking lot. There is a gift shop built into the side of a hill that has some neat little trinkets but if it is a nice day you will only want to spend your time outside. The view of the cliffs is weather dependent, unfortunately. If you happen to go on a day that isn't foggy or rainy you will be privy to a breathtaking view! I traveled here in Fall of 2008 and the weather was perfect - though very windy.

What A Sight Mar 21, 2011
The views on a clear day from The Cliffs of Moher are amazing!

In the running for one of the New 7 Wonders of The World and in my opinion rightly so.

Never get tired of going back....

Only thing I don't like is that it is quite expensive if you bring a car load...5 of us went last summer, we had to pay €6 each, I had be 2 months early and it was only a set rate for the car.

Even if you dont want to go into the exhibition you have to pay per person....

A fee I dont mind but I think that is a bit much!

The Cliffs of Moher is a beautifull high coastline. You can stand on top of them, or you can watch them from below, by boat. The last thing I tried out. The sea was a bit rocky, so I did get wet and cold, but the cliffs, and the atlantic ocean I looked out on were absolutely beautifull. If you're lucky you might see some dolphins there to. The boat ticket, from Doolin was 10 euro's, that includes the boat trip, and the bus back. To see them from up it costs 8 euro's for a parking spot, another 5 if you want to visit the little tower on top of one.

Impressive but not that much Jun 04, 2009
Local fantástico mas as barreiras de proteção distanciam-nos demasiado do penhasco. É necessário aceder ao caminho proibido para se ter as melhores vistas.

Fantastic location but the protective barriers are very distant from the cliff. It is necessary to access the forbidden path south to have the best views.
