Cleveland Park Overview

Cleveland Park is a lovely area of NW DC. Its most notable residental feature is its Victorian homes. Its rural presentation in the heart of DC long attracted families until the 1940s. The beauty and peacefulness of Cleveland Park continues to attract well-to-do families and businesses.

While many of the homes were built between the late 1890s and early 20th century, the oldest house built in Cleveland Park was reportedly built in the mid-late 1700s. It is also notably known to have hosted President Cleveland's summer home.

In addition to restaurants and upscale supermarkets, a favored building in Cleveland Park is the Uptown theater on Connecticut avenue-a single theater movie house that runs movies, hosts weddings, and is a venue for small concerts.
