Claremont Vacation Guide
Claremont is located in Southern California about 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
Its known locally as the land of trees and PH.Ds as Claremont is home to several major colleges including: Pomona College, Scripts College, Harvey Mudd College, Claremont School of Theology and more.
Its a quaint little town that is home to a quirky mindframe. The village renovation and expansion project is close to completion and you can watch an independent movie at the new theater or check out contemporary artwork by local artist at the Claremont Museum of Art which is housed in the historic packing house that was once used for shipment of lemons from Claremont's groves.
Two freeways run through Claremont making it easily accessible. The street to Mount Baldy is found from Claremont. You can check out the folk music store in the village that is owned by Ben Harpers Parents or you can stroll around the colleges where many views have been used as backdrops on movies.
Come check Claremont out. Its uniqueness is enticing and will captivate you. Although many teenagers (including myself at one time) have hated living in such a small, quiet city, they will soon learn to appreciate its unique qualities.
