I went to the opening of the Claremont Museum of Art this past Sunday, April 15, 2007. It is in the new downtown of Claremont. It is in the refurnished Packing House that is central to old Claremont.
It will feature exhibits by local residents. This week was Karl Benjamin. The show was kind of small (it is a local museum) but they did their best t o make it interactive. There was a game of trying to find pieces of the art on a postcard and then you got a gift when you found them all (notecards and crayons) All in all it is a nice touch. A nice small museum if you want some local flavor. Right now its free to enter but June 3rd it will charge $3.00 |
