We had the Canterbury Info Centre book us a B&B and they found Clare Ellen's for us as it suited our price range and was just 10 minutes walk from downtown Canterbury.
The B&B was well presented. Our room was right at the top of the three story house so we wound our way to the top, up steep and narrow stairs. The room was lavishly decorated with frills and pinks, with both a double and a single bed and a basin. An en suite with bath and shower was hidden behind the door. Our room also had tea and coffee making facilities provided, and a television. Breakfasts were very nicely cooked and set us up perfectly for each day of exploration. These were taken in the large dining room on the ground floor with other guests. Internet was available if we wished to use the in house computer. A pool in the yard out back and off street parking is available. The whole atmosphere of Clare Ellen's was easy and pleasant.
