This is a true city of rocks where rock climbers come to play. We actually didn't have the ability to climb though because we brought two small children with us. That being said, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We camped among the rocks and woke up to a beautiful sunrise. We played around the rocks and looked at wonder at the large rock where pioneers wrote their name as they travelled West. It was an important site along the Oregon Trail where trekked across the plains.

To get there, there are lots of gravel roads. There is one way that is totally paved, but we didn't take it. Do you research before hand.

In any case, we really enjoyed ourselves and would like to go back when the kids are older so we can actually climb.
