Tour the city while working out! May 24, 2008
If you are looking for a great way to really see New York while getting in a good workout, do a city running tour. Even if you are not a great runner, consider using this group as their services are great. Your guide will meet you at your location whenever you'd like to do your run. You set the pace (I was completely comfortable on mine and I'm not a super fast runner) and distance for the run. You can even customize your run based on the sights you want to see. The tour is very personalized and the guide is knowlegable about the city. You can ask questions, talk or just run. The guide also provides water, snacks, a cool t-shirt and subway fare to get back to your starting location (if needed). I loved my run and can't wait to do another tour the next time I'm in a City Running Tour location.
