City Palms Motel Brisbane

What a disgusting mouldy dump. Booked on the internet where it promised "convenience in Fortitude Valley minutes from shopping and night life of Brisbane City". Could not be further from the truth it is a long way to Brisbane city and not even close to the main shops in Fortitude Valley. "Luxury accommodation at budget prices" An outright lie on the luxury accommodation the budget is the truth. The whole place is a rabbit warren maze and the front desk staff merely give you vague directions to find your room along the musty corridors. The room is small with an old iron bed taking up most of the room which smelt musty and the walls were grubby with mould. No cupboard to hang clothes just some poxy hangers under a TV. The kitchenette was only suitable for boiling the kettle. Only the bathroom could be described as acceptable. For just $10 per night more you can get fantastic accommodation in Brisbane City at the Oaks Towers on Charlotte Street. We were booked for three nights but left as soon as we could after one night. This place is a disgrace and should be removed from websites offering it as accommodation in Brisbane city. Brisbane does itself no favours with such rubbish.
