Here was one place that didn’t force the tip on you • unfortunately even without a guaranteed tip, the waiters weren’t very motivated to give good, friendly service.
After dinner we enjoyed the walk back to the hotel. This city is beautiful at any time of the day or night. I'm sorry to see this trip rapidly finish... … Farewell to Carla (for now), St. Giovanni in Laterano, Scala Sancta... |

city of players.
The hotel was situated 5 km from the city centre, which were only 4 metro stations from Colosseo. The hotel turned out to be a nice quiet hotel close to one of the city universities. At the reception desk we were met by a very… Rome - crazy Taxi drivers, crooks, a fire and a lot of fun. |

We stayed at Hotel Lazzari and that was an ok hotel. The city was so fantastic! Its many tourists so a tip is to hit the sights early. Then we had time for a long lunch and coffee break. Some of the places we visited; St.Peters Church, Fontana di trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Colosseo, Piazza… Rome |

hotel. Which, located on top of a hill, has beautiful views of the city. The hotel breakfast was served on the patio and just being outside was a treat in itself – finally, a location in Europe with warm weather during the summer.

Travelling from Liverpool we arrived at Ciampino airport in the evening, we had booked a hotel in the small town of Ciampino, the hotel was wheelchair friendly and as it turn out was about the only place in Rome which was, with the exception of the supreb Vatican museum.
Travelling into Rome every day on Trenitalia which was very cheap we saved hundreds of euros from the city… Roma Victoria |
