We got to Dublin at about 4:30 and took a bus into the city. Our hostel was right of O'Connell Street, which is pretty much the tourist hub and right near the Liffey River. Even if it wasn't this central it wouldn't matter; Dublin is a TINY city. Honestly, from the moment we arrived… Dublin Arrival! |

It has proven to be quite a city, offering richness in culture and tons of places to shop without seeming all that crowded or congested. I think I'm a little early for the busy season anyway. Helen (tb: witchway) is so sweet and offered to pick us up from the airport and drive us into the city to our hostel! She is such a sweet heart and one of the nicest people I have ever met! She brought us some scones and some booze from her trip in Mexico, how nice is that!? So we got to drive through lots of the city… An amazing first day in Dublin! |

So I decided to just go
wandering into the city, since I didn't really have any specific ideas
of where I wanted to go. Luckily, my hostel was walking distance from
the city center. I walked down O'Connell Street (one of the main city
streets) and looked at things around there. Then… Oy! What an adventurous day! |

We had a flight out of Belfast the next day at eight so we booked a hostel room in Belfast and decided to just hang around the city for the night. When we got to the train station we discovered we had quite a long walk to the hostel that actually wove through the center of the city. Two birds… Day 24 - Dublin |
