After the first World War, this park has 38 mansions dedicated to mostly different countries but some are dedicated to Universities and other organizations. The purpose of the CIUP is to house international students, researchers, and faculty as they study at various locations around Paris. In southern Paris (14th arrondissement)this private park provides public services by holding international events specifically for the residences but most are open to the public. Just walking around the grounds, you will meet people from all around the world and from your own country, but simply admiring the different mansions will intrigue even those people with little architectural knowledge.

I am spending 1.5 months residing at the CIUP and the price per night is well below any hostel, hotel, or sublease you can find in Paris. As a college student, I would prefer not to waste money on living arrangements because is already very expensive. The RER B (direct from CDG airport) and Tramway 3 trains stop directly outside the main entrance and connect you with the entire city.

If you are a student planning to study abroad in Paris or just visiting definitely attempt to stay at the CIUP.
