Cisarua is a small village in Bogor district, about 40 miles south of Jakarta. Although considered as a village, Cisarua is a host of many visitors’ attractions. Cisarua is located on the mountainous range of Mt. Gede, which makes the area is cooler.

Cisarua is known for its Safari garden (Taman Safari), where a good chunk of the land is reserved for animals living naturally. Visitors can take a day pass and explore the garden with their vehicles and get a close look at the animals.

Cisarua is also known for its villas. Some are owned privately, the others operated as retreat places, conferences, or other corporate or government meetings.

Along Cisarua streets, farmers sell their products and display a wide variety of fresh tropical fruit and vegetables.
