Cinespia: Hollywood Cemetery Movie Screening Reviews

I know someone already mentioned this place but it really is a lot of fun. It sounds odd at first, watching a movie at the cemetary...but don't worry you aren't sitting on any graves. It's a nice grassy area in the middle of the cemetary where the movie is projected on the side of a building. They have a variety of movies a lot of good old black and white films as well as cult 80's flicks. Get there early, for some reason this summer it has been pretty packed. You can check on line to see what movies they are playing.
Some helpfull tips: definetly bring a blanket or something, the grass is pretty dewy if you bring beach chairs, bring low to the ground chairs it can get chilly at night so bring a sweater if you picnic it helps if you have some tealight candles the nicest andy gumps you've ever seen, equipped with lights and antibacterial hand sanitizer lastly, when walking thru the cemetary make sure you look at the surrounding headstones, you'll recognize alot of famous people |

Cinespia is a movie screening event that takes place every Saturday in the summer at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary...It's awesome!...Hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people gather in the spooky cemetray to watch a classic film...Everyone is allowed to bring food, drinks, chairs, balnkets, booze, and anything else to make it more fun to watch a creepy movie in a scary place...It's only $10 and parking is free, which is tough in that area...It's a crazy experience to sit within feet of thousands of graves and watch a scray movie on an IMAX sized projected screen...Check out the website at www.cinespia.org
