Tropical Pacific Forest Reserve May 02, 2011
Named after the indigenous Jama-Coaque Indians who lived in the area over 2000 years ago, the reserve is comprised of a beautiful bamboo research station situated on nearly 600 acres of pre-montane and cloud forests. The reserve is continually experimenting with agro-forestry, reforestation and permaculture concepts and listed endangered species include 5 species of felines and 2 species of monkey. They gladly accepts volunteers and visitors alike. Check out the website for YouTube videos and more information
