Ciappetti Mdina Reviews
Best restaurant in Malta Jun 19, 2011
This is the restaurant I would recommend to anyone coming to Malta. It is located in the most picturesque spot in Malta. You just freak out when you enter Mdina and you start walking along the narrow streets inside the city walls. While walking around we found several beautiful restaurants and we ended up in Ciappetti! The entrance is just astonishing! There are three different spaces, well actually four, although one of them was closed. When you access the restaurant you find a beautiful indoor garden with some tables and a tiny pond with turtles and fishes. Inside the restaurant you find an indoors lounge and also a small patio. Actually we first wanted to eat in this charming patio, but it was just too hot!
We sat down in the indoors lounge and we had the best dishes. We had a maltese platter for starters and then we had some chicken with some orange sauce, beef and some tasty ravioli. For drinks we had some refeshments and also some white and red wine. For desserts we ended up sharing a couple of plates which closed a perfect lunch!
But I have to warn you... they are slooooooow! so get ready to spend a couple of hours in the resaturants. If you are not in a hurry you will not even notice, as the place is just perfect. If you go in the summer time I would recommend you to chose an indoors table, as in the patio or in the indoor garden its too hot!
Lunch cost us 60€ for three people! very recommendable, although do not expect great service :)
