Churrascaria Plataforma Travel Reviews

Sep 02, 2007
This was the first Brazilian restaurant I have ever been into and wow, was it different. The place was huge. It was a very happening place.

We were seated and the server explained to us how it all worked. We each had a coaster that was red on one side, green on the other. But I'll get back to that later.

Let's start with the First course, the buffet. OMG this was a buffet like no other. The buffet bar was loaded with more than enough to last a vegan for weeks. They were filled from fruits to seafood. The paella was so good. That was the one thing I piled up on my plate. The problem there is that, with all the food on the buffet, you need self control. I'm pretty good with that but; let me tell you, it was hard.

On to the Main course. When you are ready, flip your coaster over so the green side shows. The servers come charging at you with skewers. These skewers have meat from top to bottom which are cut at your table by the servers. It was just meat overload. During the entire meal, servers with side dishes come and go. There are also carts pushed around with delectable fish.

Of course, there just had to be desserts. We flipped our coaster over to the red side and a cart filled with pastries came to us. As full as we were, we ordered flan and a dessert wine. It was all so scrumptious.

They had a bar with a wide selection of drinks from a glass of wine to a variety of margaritas. But you can get a drink anywhere so my attention was focused on the food.

This place is just a glutton’s paradise. I have never, in my life, eaten so much meat. I've had my fill to last me for a month. I may go back. We shall see.

s7truong says: This is my new favorite restaurant in NYC, surpassing Agave. The restaurant is small but cozy, all of the tables are connected like a kitchen, but the decor still makes this place personal and intimate. Upon arriving, we were seated at the bar until our reservation was cleared up. We met the own...
