Not to be missed! Feb 10, 2013
Constructed from the 1850s, Churchgate is one of Mumbai’s most recognisable and popular train stations. It really is in the centre of Mumbai’s train travelling network. I think this is a really cool station because of its architecture. The stonework and style feels very Victorian, and it is rather poignant to look at this English-looking building in a very Indian setting. The people-watching opportunities here are fantastic too – most of Mumbai’s commuters pass through here and you can even see the dabawallahs here (those guys who transport those metal tins of food at lunchtime). If you are in Mumbai, coming here will be inevitable!
