Unique church commemorating the arrival of Christianity to Malta Apr 30, 2016
Given that the church is free, it sure packs in a punch.

Saint Paul the Apostle is considered the spiritual father of the Maltese and responsible for the advent of Christianity. His shipwreck on Malta is described in the New Testament, as "we found that the island was called Melita".

Faithfully so, this church, anointed as a "Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands" contains several memorabilia, reliquaries and statues used for annual parades in the city. The church also contains a part of the column on which the saint was beheaded in Rome and his relic (a steel replica of his hand rumoured to contain his bones).

It's not the easiest to find and certainly doesn't come with the hype that St.John's Co-Cathedral does. That said, it's extremely interesting and I'd highly recommend a visit, shouldn't take more than an hour!
