Great views! Apr 20, 2011
Although Portofino is hardly known for its churches, this one is worth seeking out! The walk uphill to the church is great exercise and gives excellent views of the water and the surrounding greenery. Inside the church is rather clear and not very well used at all. The decoration is kept to a bare minimum, from the chapels to the altar, and apart from a couple of interesting pictures, there’s not much to see here. The façade itself is similarly simple but the brickwork is painted in an unusual shade of yellow. Overall, this felt like a strange church but like I said, the views getting there and the views when you arrive make this a very worthy place to visit!
