In Visby, there is a large wall that seperates one section of the city

from the rest. The wall itself is history- it was built in the 13th

century. But one of the things I really liked doing was finding the

ruins, as there are quite a lot of them inside. It's completely

free(though all the walking might take a toll on your legs), and some

of the ruins are extremely beautiful.

One of the church ruins has litterally been taken over by plants about

halfway up- so much that you can barely see the wall from that point!

Near those ruins is a very nice botantical garden that you can admire,

filled with lovely plants. There is also an intact church that you can admire near the big square, and it's worth a look as well.

WOW, I didn't know there was anything still around in our country from the 1200s! I will definitely have to make a side trip there on my next visit to Atlanta.
