Real German! Dec 07, 2017
The Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of the largest Christmas markets in all of Germany. The elaborate and creative stand decorations, the scenic surroundings on the Römerberg and St Paul's Square and the huge Christmas tree combine to also make it one of Germany's most beautiful. We spend 2 days there.

It's pretty busy in the evening on the weekends. Afternoons are better to stroll the venders!

Don't forget the mulled wine at one of the many stands!!

To the Frankfurt Christmas market via public transport:

Subway lines (U-Bahn) U4 and U5, exit at Dom/Römer or tram lines (Straßenbahn) 11 and 12, exit at Römer/Paulskirche.

If you traveling with a minimum of 2 and max 5 get a group ticket for public transport. It's 11 euro and you can use it the whole day within the city with 5 people till 4am that night!!

I like Christmas, but do hate the commercialization of Christmas. Christmas markets, though commercial, are fairly pleasant in experience.
