Dresden Christmas Market Dec 07, 2010
The Dresden Christmas Market is a must see. I visited five Christmas markets, four if which are located in the Altstadt. Park in the Neustadt and take the 3 train or 7 train across the bridge into the Altstadt. Every attraction is within walking distance. Dresden is a day trip. If you arrive by 9AM, you can see all the sights by 4PM. The Frauenkirche is the famous church that was completely leveled during WWII but rebuilt "brick by brick". Also, check out the Dresden fortress and drink milk from the Pfund Dairy, oldest dairy in the world.

I agree with your comments. Dresden is one of my favorite markets. I also like Stuttgart, Heidelberg and Erfurt. Enjoy your travels and stay safe.
