The City Hall square, Oslo, Norway
Christmas Market Oslo Reviews
Christmas Market in Oslo Dec 21, 2009
The Christmas market 2009 is located on the square in front of the City Hall. It was opened and the Christmas tree and the market's 250,000 Christmas lights were lit on the 26th of November by the mayor of Oslo. The market is open every day from 11.00 until 20.00. The many Christmas lights creates a wonderful atmosphere in the capital.
There are small cozy wooden booths with friendly vendors in a good Christmas spirit. The booths are full of gifts and cakes in all shapes and varieties. At the aquavit bar, you can try different types of aquavit. Not a bad idea since it will make you warm in the cold weather we are having. Another booth serves Christmas porridge and in jet another, you can try a moose burger or a hotdog made from moose. The moose burgers are served with onions and sour cream.
There is a separate tent with arts and crafts. There are exhibitors with glass, pottery, textiles, traditional crafts, santa clauses, traditional floral paintings, decorations and other things that can be nice gifts for Christmas.
Enjoy the Christmas spirit and the food and drinks from the Christmas market's many dining booths.
