I have hiked the bush of New Zealand, walked the black sand beaches of Muriwai Beach, danced with the native New Zealand Maori people in a town called Rotorua, I have sat in natural hot springs in Kerosene Creek, I took a cruise across the sound from the Northern Islands to the Southern Islands of New Zealand, driven cross country in a camping van across both the Northern and Southern Islands and now I am in a little town which is world famous for whale watching called Kaikoura.

My third trip to NZ was not in the least planned, as I was suppose to travel around Australia, but I couldn´t contact my friends in Queensland so I brought a flight to Auckland to catch up with friends who I used to work with in London. I then hired a car to drive to the Coromandel, Napier and down to Wellington before taking the ferry over to Picton. The bus took me from Nelson all the way to Greymouth where I picked up the Alpine train to Christchurch

A month in new zealand starting and ending in a wedding. My wedding. North Island road trip. Living in a van down by the river. Chasing surf in the south island. Molly's Wedding. Sailing Lake Taupo.

So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

One of my best trips ever, where I met a lot of fun people and made lots of good friends!! And no, not all Germans are anxious to put their towels on the sunbeds first thing in the morning! More Text will follow.... I am not a big writer.....

Soaking up sun and fun!

This is probably going to be the shortest enty to date.  Didnt really do much in Christchurch as i was only here for a night.  The most eventful thing i did was to eat a curry and by a All Blacks jersy... Christchurch seems like a nice place but to be honest i dont think i could spend too…

Don't exactly travel overseas alot, actually never (unless you count my move to Aussie from N.Z?). Moved to Australia from N.Z in 2005 and have lived here ever since! Great weather, people, lifestyle. Have to put up with the occasional sheep joke, but I have learnt how to give back just as good! :) I have posted some photos in this blog of some favourite spots in New Zealand (South Island)
