Chorzów Amusement Park Chorzow Reviews
Old school Amusement Park in Poland Jun 01, 2011
Chorzów Amusement Park is one of the oldest and most famous amusement parks in Poland.
It was created in 1959 and since then has entertained loads of people over the years.
It is modified all the time but no doubt that you can find there some really old fashioned accents from communistic times e.g. characteristic shaped neons with the names of attracttions.
This amusement park covers the area of 26 acres and has over 50 attractions such as ferris wheel, 3 large rollercoasters ( especially famous is the one called "Tic Tac Tornado) and many other carousels.
What I like about this place is that you don't have to pay for each attraction separately. There is only one ticket (in a form of a plastic card with a chip) that can be used to enter each attraction as many times as you want.
The cost of a ticket for an adult person is 50 PLN.
WHEN TO GO:
Chorzów Amusement Park is open from June to September.
WHAT ELSE TO DO:
The Amusement Park is situated at the territory of Silesian Culture and Recreation Park where there is also a famous ZOO with lots of animals. The amusument Park itself has it's attractions situated around a lake where many people go fishing or just spend some free time relaxing.
FOOD AND EATING FACILITIES:
At the territory of the park there are lots of small restaurants, especially with some junk food like hamburgers, hot dogs, roasted chicken with french fries etc.
I really like this place. It has a unique atmosphere of the past and present together. You can have fun there and feed your eyes with really old school architecture, typical for amusement parks from 1960s/1970s.
