When headed to Isla Mujeres from Cancun, you will find yourself with the choice of two different ferries to take, from two different ferry terminals, not far from each other; Puerto Juárez or Gran Puerto.
The price is the same at 35 pesos one way, 70 return, and each take 15 to 20 minutes to make the trip. That being said, the ferries that leave from Puerto Juárez are nicer, newer, and just a better choice for your money. As I said, they aren't far from each other and are the same price; the only difference will be the experience you have while crossing the Caribbean; and why not enjoy it? - Hours: Express boats leave every half hour and the crossing takes about 15 minutes. The first crossing from Cancun is at 6:30 AM, beginning at 9:00 PM the express boats leave every hour until 12 midnight.
- Directions: From the bus station you take the R15 local bus or by taxi it is a 10-15 minute drive.
