Since its doors opened in 2004, Chocolate Bean has been THE go-to place for the local Adelaideans to get their chocolate fix. This gorgeous cafe is small in size, but big on knowledge, warmth and amazingly friendly staff. All the chocolates, cakes and truffles are handmade by the lovely owner Ainslee, using only the finest ingredients - the most difficult part of the process is what (and how many) to have! With seating upstairs (with leadlight windows overlooking Union St), downstairs (with the aroma of everything chocolate wafting around you), and a table or two just outside, Chocolate Bean is the best place for a catch up with your best friend, an unparalleled choice for a date, or just a quiet place to sit and study with a cherry iced chocolate in one hand and a copy of 'The Sound and the Fury' in the other. I have had so many great experiences with this place - so if you're ever in Adelaide, come join me for a drink!
