Now l can only speak from Ireland - we applied for our visa (£30 moreorless $50) submitted application form and supporting documents (the Chinese Embassy Website should provide you with downloadable form & details of documents needed) fill in it - you have to apply in person to take it to your nearest embassy office submit application along with your passport you will then need to leave it for approximate 5 working days and return to collect it.

We did ours one week before we actually headed to Beijing.

Hope this is of some help to you!

Its $50 and good for 90 days from issue date. Either go in person to the embassy/consulate or use a visa service.

Great advice! Any ideas on visas to Vietnam? Do they offer visas upon entry in Hanoi?
