Chinese Pavillons Jul 02, 2009
The triangular park in the town centre, named Kamp, contains two pavillons in 'Chinese' style, built in 1808/09. They date from the era of the Granddukes who turned Doberan into a neoclassical summer resort. Chinese art and culture were still highly fashionable in those times. The two pavillons in the park add a bit of exotic flair to the place.

The 'red' pavillon is now used for art exhibitions.

The 'white' pavillon hosts a cafe, which is herewith recommended for a coffee or whatever break during your

sightseeing walk.
